California drivers who expect you to rush crossing street so they can make a right turn on red. The pedestrian, must wait for the "walking white man signal" (another one of California's ridiculous restrictive laws) or risk being ticketed by over-zealous officers for "jaywalking" .

The traffic signal allows an average "cross" duration of 24 seconds:

I'M TAKING BACK EVERY SECOND TAKEN FROM ME
since I'm forced to wait until the "state of California" says its safe for me to cross the street.
